About us

We are a Bible centred local Church situated within the community, with a heart for the community, sharing God’s love and truth.

We aspire to be a Church that lives by faith, is known by love and is a voice of hope to the local area, so we invite people to experience the transforming love, through faith in Jesus Christ.

Bible Centred

We believe the Bible is inspired by the God's Holy Spirit and is the infallible Word of God which Christians try to base their lives upon.

We cannot always fulfil or fully understand it, we certainly do not always live our lives by it, but we never alter it.

It is the gospel of good news, not advice.

Jesus Christ did not come into the world just to tell us what we have to do for salvation, He came into the world to save us.

That is the good news of the gospel.

Faith

Having faith is having trust.

You have to completely trust that God will help, sustain and take care of you.

He knows what is best for you, but to deeply commit yourself to what He has planned for you, you have to fully trust in Him.

Our trust is not some foolish fantasy, for our God is always faithful and always keeps His promises to us.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." - Hebrews 11:1

Love

Contrary to what many believe, love described by God’s Word is mainly a giving word based on a personnel decision.

Love is goodness not an obsession or mere feeling.

True love is humble, righteous, forgiving, generous and at times suffering.

Love is the opposite to selfishness.

Love for a Christian is not an option but a command.

Jesus said “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” - John 13:34 and “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” - 1 Corinthians 13:13.

Hope

Hope is commonly used to mean a ‘wish’ but the Bible uses the word ‘hope’ as confidently expecting what God has promised us.

Hope leads to faith, that is why it is so important.

In other words, hope in Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of Christian love and faith, because we just let God take care of us and are not preoccupied with having to work for our Salvation.

“My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word” - Psalm 119:81

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits and in His word I put my hope” - Psalm 130:5.
